Dance

Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy (SCAA) offers a comprehensive study of dance in a variety of genres. Study begins with an emphasis in creativity and the establishment of a strong foundation in the specific dance style. The progression of study allows each student to develop strength, musicality, coordination and advanced level dance technique. Recital classes culminate with SCAA’s Annual Spring Dance Recital. Placements in proceeding levels are by teacher recommendation or audition.

Dance classes are taught on a school-year calendar, with classes taking place from September-May. Students may join available classes as late as December 1st. The dance year culminates in our Annual Spring Dance Recital held in May/June.  

Students participating in recital dance classes pay a Dance Performance Fee in addition to the class tuition. There are no additional costume fees collected during the year.

1 Class = $60
2 Classes = $110
3 Classes = $150
4+ Classes = $180

• Wilkins Shoe Store in Old Town Winchester is offering 10% off to SCAA students
• SCAA has its own “take it or leave it” area where dance students can donate gently used items for other dancers to use
