Dance
Shenandoah Conservatory Arts Academy (SCAA) offers a comprehensive study of dance in a variety of genres. Study begins with an emphasis in creativity and the establishment of a strong foundation in the specific dance style. The progression of study allows each student to develop strength, musicality, coordination and advanced level dance technique. Each year, recital classes culminate with SCAA’s Annual Spring Dance Recital. Placements in proceeding levels are by teacher recommendation or audition.
Dance classes are taught on a school-year calendar, with classes taking place from September-May. Students may join available classes as late as December 1st. The dance year culminates in our Annual Spring Dance Recital held in May at Shenandoah University’s Ohrstrom-Bryant Theatre.
