A Letter from the Director
Welcome to our arts education family! We believe that the arts offer students a much-needed learning, creative, and social outlet during this uncertain time.
This year our offerings look different but our excellence in teaching remains intact. Building on our virtual transition in mid-April, we will begin our fall instruction online. As we face ever-shifting health mandates, we believe that the online platform allows us to best honor the health of our students and community. It is our goal to return to in-person learning in the near future and have developed a phasing process that allows us to move toward that goal. (Further announcements will be posted on this website and coming to you via email.)
SCAA has divided the academic year into two sessions, adapted program offerings to be responsive to the virtual environment, and set class times for minimal disruption to your student’s schedules for when we return to in-person instruction. While there are details to announce later, such as, when will we return in person? When can we participate in larger performances? etc., we do know, that your students will continue to receive high quality instruction at SCAA.
We invite your students to join us for their first venture into arts study, continued studies, or for refinement of the blossoming talent of a conservatory bound student*. Our unique faculty combines warmth, caring and high expectations into teaching methods that seek to both reveal and expand a student’s gifts.
Let the arts inspire and enrich your family, become a part of SCAA!
*Conservatory bound students: Our affiliation with Shenandoah Conservatory of Shenandoah University enables us to train musicians, dancers, and actors for future professional careers in the arts; join us today!
